Sue Key Art in Seibels

Sue Key is one of our very favorite Birmingham artists - we are lucky to be showing her artwork off in our store! Sue's paintings are one of a kind. They will strike you upon first walking in our front door. The natural beauty that she is able to capture in landscape and wildlife pieces is unmatched. Here are a few examples of work she has in the store right now (some of which are already sold!)

We had a chance to ask Sue a little bit about her style and inspiration for her work. She prefers to paint in large formats, especially when it comes to wildlife. Sue usually paints from photographs that she has taken herself. She loves the humor of taking something small and painting it large - which is why she specializes in so many of the birds we have on the wall right now. As for the landscape pieces, Sue loves to paint from places which have have meaning and significance in her life. She enjoys painting the light reflecting off the water. Her passion for painting combined with her excellent talent makes for some beautiful artwork! Thank you Sue for sharing your talents with us!
